Project Design Brief
Player, first aid and umpire change rooms; a kiosk, an upper-level kitchen, meeting rooms and social spaces were part of the project’s scope. Designers wanted a floor and drainage grate that would provide slip resistance for people working in the kitchen area. The drainage channel also had to prevent food solids from blocking the pipes.
ACO's Solution
- Custom channel with Stainless 5 Star Heelsafe® Anti-Slip grates
Benefits
- The stainless steel channel had a 1:100 built-in fall enabling efficient drainage to outlets.
- The Heelsafe® Anti-Slip grate with R11 slip resistance (AS 4586) ensures worker safety even after wash-down operations. The narrow slots also stops food solids from entering the drainage system.
- All channels were fitted with a vinyl seal profile which provides a superior seal between stainless steel channels and vinyl flooring.
Other ACO products used:
- Stainless steel stormwater drains (ACO Buildline)
